About Arwen

This journey began the day my German Shepherd “Luna” passed away. Luna was a 4 year old German Shepherd who ended up with Kidney failure, and died 2 weeks later. I was very saddened by this loss, and I was just reminding myself what I told Luna the night before her passing. I said “Luna, I know this is difficult for you, so I understand if you need to call it quits, but please do me a favor, when you get to where you are going, tell them that you need to come right back, I promise I will find you

So from that point my journey began, I was determined to find her again. I started by picking a name, Arwen was the name I finally decided upon, Arwen stands for “Noble Maiden”. So now I just needed to find my breeder, I started my search high and low, took me from coast to coast. I called better business bureaus’s and searched through countless forums to find the best breeder.

I ended up with 3 breeders, 1) Located in San Diego, 2) located in Tillamook, Oregon 3) located in Eagle Creek, Oregon. Now this was getting difficult because I liked all 3 of the breeders. I decided I need to have a personal conversation with all of them to start weeding through these 3. I called all of them in the order above. When I finally got to number 3, I was a little disappointed because I liked the 2 I just talked with, and was thinking this is gonna be a hard decision.

During my conversation with Mike Zimmerhoff, he was talking about all his dogs, and he mentioned his female dog Arwen. At that moment I knew I was at the right breeder, searched stopped here. My Arwen was conceived the day after Luna’s passing, and all the pups were born on November 14th, 2016.  As of this writing I still do not have possession of  Arwen, but I truly feel it in my heart that I found my Luna again. I can’t wait to meet her.
